This is THE best Molasses cookie. Chewy, gooey and has the perfect amount of spice, ginger and molasses. I tried this recipe last year for the first time, and ended up making it at least 10 times in December. No lies 😛
Sooooo, if ya’ll haven’t heard…I’m a Culinary Intern for ABC’s daytime talk show
Literally a dream come true.
This is exactly why I have moved across the country.
I don’t want to work in any kitchen. I don’t want to work for any company.
I want to work in food media.
I want to work for the best.
I want to be apart of the best.
I will not settle for less.
Hey, that rhymes 😀
Here I am…A culinary intern at one of my most favorite food shows…The Chew!
I don’t call this luck folks, I call this hard work and determination.
Anyone that knows me well, knows I don’t watch much tv at all.
But when I do watch tv, I prefer to watch the morning news, talk shows, or any food related show.
My sisters used to always “tease” me for watching talk shows at a young age because they thought they were boring. I’ve always loved them.
When I heard about the internship with The Chew, I instantly knew I had to land it.
Lone and behold, I got it.
I actually found out that I got it at the beginning of October.
I only told a few people and wanted to wait to make it official when it actually started…December 😉
SO, what exactly am I doing at my internship??
No, you won’t see me on tv…whomp whomp.
BUT, i’m directly behind set in the kitchen. Literally 2 feet from set.
The first half of the internship I am with the culinary stylists in the kitchen. The second half I will be with the production team on set.
Basically I intern 2 days a week. Each day we tape 2 shows.
The culinary team is in charge of preparation of all the food you see on set.
Literally today on my first day, I was handed recipes to cook that will be used in segments on the show. CRAZY.
No pressure for them being perfect, right?!
Anyways, today was such a surreal day.
I met some of the hosts and many other people.
It’s awesome to be apart of The Chew family. I’m excited for all that I am going to learn from this internship.
Let’s get to the reason for this post…these molasses cookies!!!!
Since I have zero free time, it’s been making it difficult to post on here. It really makes me sad because I love my blog.
Plus I have tons of holiday recipes i’d love to share.
Right now I am working full time and have school part time. SOOO, that pretty much leaves zero free time.
Anywho, no complaints here. Busy is good.
I tried this molasses cookie recipe last year. It’s from one of my favorite Minnesota restaurants, The Buttered Tin.
If you’ve never had molasses cookies, you must make these. You’ll be addicted.
Thanks so much for visiting LEFT SIDE OF THE TABLE today!! 🙂
Have a great Wednesday!
