In 2 very short months, i’ll be in this gorgeous city to begin a new chapter of my life.
I’m excited, nervous and terrified all at the same time (mostly excited!) WOOHOO!
My life is about to completely change. In a VERY good way!
This is my dream. This is what I want to do.
I’m 24, not married and have no kids. My time is now. I’d be a fool not to follow this dream.
Since moving to NYC and attending Culinary School is such a HUGE part of my life and career I wanted to incorporate it more into my blog. I will be posting this Road to Culinary School series every Friday until school begins.
School is quickly approaching. There’s SO much to do to prepare both mentally and physically! It can be quite draining! Oofta!
It’s kinda funny cause I never used to think that I wanted to attend Culinary School.
I thought it only meant you would be a chef. I was terrified that it would strip me of my love and desire to cook.
After I began blogging last fall, I quickly began to realize there are a ton of different career paths for people with the same passion for food as I have.
I’m actually going to school with the desire for a job in food media – food publishing or production. I also dream of opening a restaurant, writing a cookbook….you know. Normal aspirations. Hah!
I’m a BIG dreamer! The kind of dreamer where people kinda roll their eyes at you.
Culinary School is the right path for me so I can gain the skills and credentials I need.
As cliche as it sounds – I can feel in my heart that it’s the right path for me right now. Remembering this helps relieve much of the stress that comes along with a major life change like this.
It’s awesome to think that at ICC I will be in a class with a bunch of people who LOVE to cook…just like me!
I get to learn from some of the best instructors in the world.

I have no idea what will happen. But that’s the beauty of it right?
